About
A continuous lineage of contemplatives in every culture has pointed at one recognition. This site gathers the texts and teaching that carry that pointing forward, and shares them freely.
Soul Spirit Self is an open library of nondual wisdom. Across the traditions represented here, from Advaita Vedanta in the Indian classical world to the Christian mystics of medieval Europe, from the Buddhist and Gnostic currents to the modern plain-English voices, the same discovery keeps surfacing under different vocabularies. The library exists so a reader can see that for themselves.
Every text on the site has been sourced from public-domain or freely-distributable editions. Where modern translations are still under copyright, we link out to the authoritative editions rather than reproduce them. Reading collects the in-copyright books that supplement the library, and The Signal gathers what is surfacing now, where science and philosophy keep arriving at the old recognition.
The video library at /watch is curated from the Soul Spirit Self YouTube channel, filterable by teacher, tradition, and theme. There is also a simple meditation timer, free to use, with nothing to install.
If you're new to the project, the best place to start is the traditions index. Pick a tradition that calls to you and follow the lineage from there. Or, if you'd rather follow a thread than a lineage, the themes trace single recognitions (silence, presence, self-inquiry) across all of the traditions at once.
